Vehicle Transport & Recovery Straps

Car transporter straps, recovery straps and vehicle transport straps are designed to secure vehicles for transport to flat beds, trailers and recovery trucks.

DVSA Minimum Load Restraints

The DVSA (formally VOSA) states that the following minimum load restraints should be used for vehicles carried on car transporters or trailers.

• Single vehicles on a flat deck:

2 wheels secured by lashings, preferably diagonally opposite, plus one chock or lashing on a third wheel of each vehicle

• Vehicle on angled deck:

3 wheels secured, 2 with lashings and one with chocks, or 3 with lashings

• First and last vehicles on decks (if transporting more than one vehicle):

4 wheels secured by lashings on vehicles loaded at the front and rear
